Our aspiration to compile the material about cultural and objective monuments of the Bashkir people, thus transforming the knowledge of these countless treasures into a source of inner strength and inspiration, and to present this material to a wide range of Internet users resulted in emergence of this site.

In the meantime we focus our attention on current events taking place in the life of the Bashkortostan Republic. We are taking up, for example, such vital topics as negligent local head officers turning their blind eyes to the fact of selling out of vast lands and woods in some districts; non-realization of significant national projects caused by artificial walling off; other arbitrary behavior causing righteous indignation among local population.

We believe professional journalists frequently experiencing pressure of the government machine will take the occasion to highlight the urgent problems of present day realias.

In the "Library" we’ll place books and articles of high historical and educational interest for native Bashkirs and its learners. We hope the books’ authors will not object in this regard, since it’s we, the Bashkirs, who treasure this knowledge. Behaving like dogs in the manger, we seriously risk losing our readers in the nearest future...

Dear men of science, teachers, students! You’ve got an opportunity to publish your works here – it may happen that instead of gathering dust on shelves, your researches will see the light and turn into a valuable source of information.

The section "Islam" depicts religious events, sketches from the lives of regular people following the canons of Islam. Unfortunately, today some "wise heads" try to interpret various issues concerning the religion in their own way, thus stirring up our fellows. Some dance round fires, participating in senseless chanting with drums beating, others invent «little hadj» and head towards southern Kazakhstan to worship stones and tombs.

The site provides helpful material for teachers, schoolchildren and students. If you are interested in software you can find necessary resources as well as detailed explanations on typing in the Bashkir language without wasting your PC by introducing useless fonts.

Photo gallery of our site gives you a good chance to publish retro photos from your family albums. After all, the value of “live” information about clothes, household, utensils of the Bashkirs’ past gets an increasing attention with every year. We will greatly appreciate your commenting on the photos you post.

The «National crafts» section will tell you about different crafts that existed among the Bashkirs and about those that are being revived nowadays. Masters of blacksmithing, felting and carpet manufacturing, manufacturers of yurtas and arms, carpenters, jewelers, notable knitters and others handymen – you are more than welcome here!

The site is designed to support three languages: Bashkir, Russian and English. In the nearest future you will witness the updates.

Remember - any result is achievable when efforts are united.
